Slowly Moving Parts

My name is Nick, and I am probably doing this wrong. I enjoy tinkering, writing, and thinking. If the Internet had stopped evolving right around 1996, that would have been fine with me. I love my my wife and son because they seem to tolerate my various hobbies and dabbles such as baking bread, mucking about with minidisc, compulsively buying old science fiction novels, and much more.

This webspace was created because I like to share stuff with the world, but without the bloat and pressure of modern social media or server stacks with hidden features. I also wanted to code my own website, which, as you can see, has gone probably as well as it could have considering I am not a coder. Despite that, I figured things out just enough to make it happen, and that feels pretty good.

Stay Caffeinated, Friends

It doesn't cost me any money to keep this site going, aside from some donations to help keep the lights blinking at SDF. I highly recommend checking out and joining the community if you have any interest in the small web and re-personalizing the Internet. It has become something of a passion of mine, igniting the wonder from the days I created my first geocities site, or taking me back further to figuring out I could dial into BBSs and interact with people.

All that said, if you want to show support, you can do any number of helpful things:
